Shipping Information

Step 1: Form Submission: Please Submit a Case form describing the media type you would like us to evaluate and the issue you are having. After you have filled out the requested information, you will be able to print out a pre-filled out shipping label that you can affix to the package, apply postage, and you are in business.

If shipping via FedEx, UPS, or DHL, you can use the pre-printed shipping label as a reference. Once you have a label ready to go, you can continue to Step 2. If you have any issues with the form or need assistance, please call us and we can enter the case information into the system manually.

Step 2: Packaging your drive:

Correctly packaging your media or device is a critical part of ensuring your data will be properly recovered. If you have any questions about packaging your device that are not answered here, contact us at 800-882-5670 x3. Otherwise, please consider these tips:

***Special RAID System instructions (multiple disk arrays): Please clearly label the drives in the order that they were physically in the array or in the order that they were configured for use. If you know the block size used in the array, please note that as well. This information is not absolutely critical, but it will speed up the evaluation time considerably and may have an affect on the overall quote due to the additional time it will take for RAID engineers to determine this information.

Packaging:

Never be afraid to "overpackage" your media.

If you have the original packaging for your hard drive, ship it to us in that original packaging.

If you don't have the original packaging for your hard drive, simply follow these directions:

1. Wrap media in an anti static bag if available. If one is not available, you can use a ziploc or similar type bag for your media.

2. Use a box at least twice the size of the media or device, so that the media can be suspended in the middle of the package.

3. Pack securely with foam or bubble wrap so the device will not move from the middle of the box.

4. Proper packaging is even more critical if you are sending a computer, laptop or PDA device. Proper protection and cushioning is not only essential for the protection of the data, but for the device itself. Consider using at least six inches of insulation for such devices, with more insulation required for heavier weights.

When you send us your media or drive, ensure you clearly label your package as FRAGILE, and don't forget to print out your estimate and include it with your shipment to expedite processing.

Mail your media to:
