A note on Video Tape recovery from MINI-DV, VHS, Hi-8, etc, and Audio Tape recovery from audio cassettes (full size or micro-cassette). ***As a general note, we do not work with video or audio tapes, only computer data tapes such as 4mm, 8mm, DAT, DLT, LTO, etc.*** Physically Broken/Snapped/Despooled video and audio tapes can usually be repaired and the contents salvaged by an Audio/Video specialty lab. We do not work with Video or Audio tapes. Overwritten tapes (audio and video) are usually NOT recoverable. Typically when audio or video tapes are overwritten with new content (i.e. you've taped over an important event with something else), the original content is gone forever. There is usually nothing that can be done to recover the original audio/video from that media.
